'Arrow' Season 2, Episode 16 Spoilers: Watch 'Suicide Squad' as 'Avengers' in Action; Oliver Queen Preps for Deathstroke Assaults [EP Teasers in Promo Video]

"Arrow" Season 2, Episode 16, titled "Suicide Squad" airs Wednesday, Mar. 19 on The CW. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) gets busy in a war against his former friend Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke (Manu Bennett). Meanwhile, John Diggle (David Ramsey) finds himself on the same side with some of the show's biggest villains, now known as the titular "Suicide Squad." This is the show's "Avengers," says EP Marc Guggenheim.

"It's our Avengers," Guggenheim explains in the producer's preview. He also notes Arrow Season 2x16 has been half-a-season in the making. "We've been slowly laying the seeds for [Suicide Squad] all throughout the season." Watch the complete commentary on the YouTube video.

"Diggleriffic" is Stephen Amell's one-word-description for Arrow Season 2, Episode 16. (More details here.) It implies John Diggle is at the center of the Suicide Squad. Amell's Oliver Queen, meanwhile, has to re-evaluate his resources and strategy for the war that Deathstroke waged against him and his loved ones.

Sara Lance aka Black Canary (Caity Lotz) wants to help The Arrow. But Oliver Queen wants her safe and alive. Deathstroke thinks that his beloved, Shado (Celina Jade), died because Oliver chose to save Sara. As this develops, spoilers indicate Sara will be saving her sister Laurel from the Huntress in an upcoming episode.

The DC comics guest characters in Arrow Season 2, Episode 16 are: Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson), Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Deadshot (Michael Rowe), and Shrapnel (Sean Maher). A big villain from the "Batman" universe, Harley Quinn (rumoured to be portrayed by Cassidy Alexa), might also be introduced. (More details here.)

As action-packed and suspenseful Arrow 2x16 is, Guggenheim teases fans this episode is not the ultimate treat yet. More is coming in Episode 19. This "big announcement" airs after the Huntress (Jessica De Gouw) returns (Episode 17) and after Deathstroke gets an entire episode titled after his name. Fans have been spoiled since Arrow Season 2 premiered in October 2013.

Arrow Season 2, Episode 16 aka Suicide Squad is expected to lay even more seeds for the next big developments on The CW show. Many DC Comics fans are tuning in for the first time just for Harley Quinn. Things are looking up for Stephen Amell and the rest of the Arrow cast, who recently celebrated the green light for Arrow Season 3.
