"Arrow" Season 2, Episode 7, "State vs Queen" is revisited by a villain Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) had nearly killed. The Count (Seth Gabel) and his Vertigo are back. This Nov. 20 episode of The CW's "Arrow" precedes the origin story for another DC comics hero, Barry Allen aka The Flash.

The Count was worse than dead the last time Oliver Queen saw him. But he is back doing his old nasty business and puts John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) in danger.
The episode synopsis for Arrow 2x07 on TV.com reads:
"A deadly illness sweeps through Starling City. When Diggle is struck down, Oliver confirms that the source of the illness is a new version of Vertigo. Tracking down a lead, Felicity is soon captured by The Count, who has escaped prison. Meanwhile, Moira Queen (Susanna Thompson) fights for her life in the courtroom against a death sentence, and Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) is forced to prosecute her when DA Donner (Dylan Bruce) is stricken down by the same illness."
Things are very bad for Oliver Queen and his loved ones in Arrow Season 2, Episode 7. His friends are being attacked by The Count. And the love of his life is fighting for the state against his mother - for a death sentence!

"Gabel's back! I missed you. You evil bastard," Amell also tweeted, referring to The Count actor, Seth Gabel.
So far in Arrow Season 2, Oliver Queen, now known as simply Arrow, has helped Black Canary (Caity Lotz) reunite with her dad. The viewers get flashbacks of what else happened to Oliver on the island and how he and Sara Lance have crossed paths post the Gambit's tragedy.
Moving forward, more DC characters will be introduced in Arrow Season 2. Barry Allen aka The Flash will have a traditional pilot instead of a backdoor launch in the series. But Stephen Amell says Grant Gustin "did a phenomenal job" in Arrow Season 2 Episodes 8 and 9.

"Arrow" Season 2, Episode 7, "State vs Queen," is the lead-in episode for the other half of The CW AmellWednesdays. "The Tomorrow People," starring Stephen's cousin Robbie Amell, is on its freshman year's seventh episode, too.
