'Arrow' Season 2 Spoilers: Stephen Amell Debunks Batman Guesting; Katie Cassidy Reacts to Olicity, Says Oliver and Laurel 'Meant to Be'
"Arrow" Season 2 is on winter hiatus. Fans should watch the Arrow 2x10 "Blast Radius" promo to mitigate the pain of separation anxiety. Or follow the latest about the stars of the show. Stephen Amell recently denied Batman is guesting on Arrow via Facebook. Meanwhile, Katie Cassidy has spoken about the Olicity pair, saying Oliver Queen and Laurel Lance "are meant to be."
Spoiler alert: This feature contains some spoilers from the previous episodes of Arrow Season 2. Episode 9, "Three Ghosts" is the winter finale episode of this DC Comics superhero series on The CW network. Here, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) gets a new mask from Barry Allen aka The Flash (Grant Gustin).
"I guess they're meant to be, at the end of the day," Katie Cassidy reacts to an Olicity question raised by Inside Pulse. She adds that she hopes the future Black Canary and Green Arrow would be "each other's last." In the DC Comics, the two are always on again, off again, and Felicity Smoak is too far from the equation. The CW viewers appreciation of the Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards chemistry seems to be changing that.
"Felicity may be a fling, I have no idea," Katie Cassidy further adds. In the end, the actress laughs it off, "But you know, bring it Felicity. Laurel has got this!"
If anyone is keeping score, however, Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak have had a lot of moments since the Arrow Season 2 premiere. It gets doused with cold water when Felicity learns Oliver slept with Isabel Rochev (Summer Glau). Still, even Barry Allen aka The Flash could tell, she's very much in love with Arrow.
As for Summer Glau, she tells TV Line Isabel Rochev may be onto Oliver. She also reveals that she originally signed on for only three episodes, but has done five, thus far.
"I think Isabel knows that (Oliver Queen is) no dummy, he's no party boy, that there's something else going on. She's starting to suspect him more and more, and respect him more and more. She sees that he's more than meets the eye," says the actress made popular by "The Terminator" and "Firefly."
As for Batman, Stephen Amell has one word for those asking if the IMDB promo regarding an upcoming Gotham City connection is real: "no." Apparently, some IMDB.com readers saw an episode summary for Arrow Season 2, Episode 21 that says: "Oliver gets a business opportunity from a famous billionaire from the neighboring Gotham City." Amell, who is quite and active Facebook user, did not elaborate on his negation of the apparent hoax.
