Arrow Season 2 spoilers are keeping fans excited for the next chapter in Stephen Amell's Green Arrow character. Oliver Queen will still be grieving Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell) at the new season premiere. Katie Cassidy will not be Black Canary - at least not so soon. And Colton Haynes promises "more" from Roy Harper.

Stephen Amell had said soon after Arrow Season 1 finale that Season 2 will be "almost like a new series." Amell has high hopes for the series because writers are now given more time to plan the show. The freshman season was done with only 13 episodes in mind.

Many new characters are being introduced in Arrow Season 2. The Flash introduction was announced only recently. 'Terminator' star Summer Glau also steps in for a recurring role.

Katie Cassidy has a lot to offer in Arrow Season 2. More than her "legs for days," the actress portrays the future Black Canary with a stunning combination of strength and finesse. Scroll down to watch Cassidy's The CW interview. The actress talks about a Season 1 scene that got her all worked up.

David Ramsey's John Diggle will see Oliver Queen's team expand in Starling City. Willa Holland's Thea Queen may soon find out the truth about her brother. Thea and Roy Harper were tracking down the "Hood Guy" before they got caught in the middle of the Glades destruction in the May finale.

Caity Lotz will play the "original" Black Canary. The CW President Mark Pedowitz has earlier revealed Caity will portray Sara Lance to tell the female superhero origins. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood played Sara Lance in the Season 1 episode, where she's on board the Queens' Gambit.

In Arrow Season 1, Episode 18 ("Salvation"), the story of Sara Lance resurfaced. Her physical attributes, however, remained ambiguous. This paves the way for an eventual exploration on what really happened to Sara Lance - something Oliver Queen may or may not know about.

Colton Haynes, the former "Teen Wolf" star, is also thrilled in anticipation of Arrow Season 2. He even dishes his own spoiler, saying, there is more to the Season 1 finale scene that will be shown to viewers, eventually.

Fans shipping Olicity - Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) - will have to be patient if they want an Olicity romance arc in Arrow Season 2. The two will become "more honest with each other," Rickards had said. Honesty is among "the right steps into making a relationship, but they also don't guarantee that one's going to happen," she added.

Arrow Season 2 premieres on The CW on Oct. 9. "The Flash" will appear in three episodes, with the last being a backdoor to the DC character's own separate series.
