"It was incredibly difficult losing Caity Lotz from the show," Stephen Amell, The Arrow himself, said on his Facebook page. This confirms to fans that Sara is gone, and the actress who has been stunning and compelling in the Black Canary costume, is moving on.

"[Lotz] and I worked together as much if not more than anyone else throughout Season 2. She fit in seamlessly and elevated the show while helping everyone believe that we could introduce a fully formed superhero," Amell added, implying the show's origin arc for Laurel Lance's (Katie Cassidy) Canary.
"Can't say enough nice things about her... can't wait to see what she does next! Still mad she wouldn't spill plot details from Mad Men (Lotz' new project) to me," the Facebook post continued.
Arrow Season 3, Episode 2, aptly titled "Sara," is "a fitting tribute" to the Canary's life on the show, Amell said, adding, "You're going to love it."
Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law) and Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable) are gracing Arrow Season 3. Ra's is believed to be the big bad of this new season, but many fans suspect it was the Dark Archer (John Barrowman's Malcolm Merlyn) who killed Sara.
Arrow has always done a great job when it comes to casting, so Matt Nable playing Ra's is one of the things DC comics fans are looking forward to seeing. He shows up in Arrow 3x4.
