"Arrow" Season 3, Episode 10 airs in a month's time. There will be no new episode until Jan. 21, but teasers indicate some intense and "emotional" scenes are coming up. Olicity shippers and fans of John Diggle are likely to see the characters deal with the news about Oliver Queen.
Spoiler alert: This update contains Arrow Season 3 spoilers. Read at your own risk if you haven't watched the mid-season finale, which aired on The CW on Dec. 10.
"Oliver Queen is dead," says someone in the promo clip for Arrow Season 3, Episode 10. In a swordfight to the death, Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable) beats Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) despite getting into it unarmed.
DC Comics fans were quick to point out the connection between Ra's al Ghul and the Lazarus Pit, which exists mostly in "Batman" comics. It is widely presumed that Oliver will be somewhat revived or treated in the famous Pit albeit with some dark side effects. The question is, who gets him there in Arrow Season 3?
Olicity shippers (TV fans who strongly support the Felicity Smoak-Oliver Queen love story) are in for some intense scenes, TVLine reported. Emily Bett Rickards, who plays Felicity, has teased "a sad moment" unfolding in Arrow Season 3, Episode 10, titled, "Left Behind."
Those who are left behind would be Arsenal aka Roy Harper (Colton Haynes), Felicity, and John Diggle (David Ramsey). These three have been with The Arrow in several missions. Each character has his respective fan base, and the showrunners have been teasing some big scenes for each of these three.
Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) is expected to grieve, too, but there seems to be more to watch from Dig's side. The same TV Line report said Arrow show boss Marc Guggenheim described a particular Arrow Season 3, Episode 10 scene as Ramsey's "most emotional scene."
Meanwhile, viewers will find out more about Speedy aka Thea Queen (Willa Holland) in Arrow Season 3. Thea's new love interest, Chase (Austin Butler of "The Carrie Diaries"), is "more than meets the eye," Guggenheim teased. Bustle.com has speculated about the Chase character in this feature.
Asked whether Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) has certain connections to Chase, Guggenheim refused to give a straightforward answer, hinting at the possibility that Malcolm would want to know who gets really close to his daughter.
It has earlier been reported that Felicity and Thea will have more scenes together in the next episodes of Arrow Season 3. The two ladies are the only living characters in Ollie's dying moment in Arrow Season 3, Episode 9. The rest were his deceased parents.
Arrow Season 3 airs Wednesdays on The CW.
