'Arrow' Season 5 spoilers: Return to politics; Oliver to be interim Mayor

“Arrow” Season 5 will take Oliver back into politics. Pictures from the production set of the premiere episode have leaked online, showing the filming of a scene for the TV series. New Westminster City will be standing in for some scenes of Star City this year.

After being forced to quit the race for Mayor in the previous season, Oliver (Stephen Amell) was later appointed as interim Mayor. Leaked pictures from the premiere episode posted on YVR Shoots shows Oliver addressing the press at the City Hall.

The filming took place at New Westminster City, Canada. The City Hall building was used to film the scene of Star City. One of the new characters joining the show this time around is Coast City reporter Susan Williams (Carly Pope), whose main focus will be to get a scoop on Oliver. She will travel all the way from the neighbouring city for this.

Meanwhile, Amell may be getting a new superhero suit in “Arrow” Season 5. The actor teased his new costume in a video he posted on his Instagram page. The video shows the actor wearing a black costume. It is not clear if this is from the flashback scenes or if Oliver will change his look going forward.

In another video on his Instagram page Amell was happy about crossing the three million mark of followers. The video appears to have been taken in between takes, and the actor can be seen with cuts and bruises for an action sequence.

The title of the premiere episode of “Arrow” Season 5 has been revealed to be “Legacy.” The details about the plot are yet to be released. The title of the second episode is “The Recruits.” More pictures from the set are expected to leak in the coming weeks, as the production of the show continues.
