Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck is looking forward to get back to winning ways with his side after they came out victorious against Sunderland on matchday 9.

The Gunners last taste of a win in the Premier League was back in September against Aston Villa, and has drawn two and lost one of their next three games, before crushing the Black Cats 2-0 last Saturday.

Welbeck, who just moved in at the Emirates this summer is still in the process of gelling with the team, but is feeling more confident after playing with them for quite some time.

"I'm really getting to know the players much better now and hopefully now we can go on a nice run of winning games," the England international told Arsenal.com.

"We've had two away games and got two wins [against Sunderland and Anderlecht in the Champions League]."

"We've set the platform now and the main thing is to build on that. We showed character and we're going to have to stick it out when it gets tough and nitty gritty in the next games."

Meanwhile, he expressed gratification over playing alongside world-class player and another Gunners' top signing Alexis Sanchez.

"It's a pleasure to play with Alexis. He's persistent, he keeps going and they are [the attributes of] somebody I like to play alongside."

"It's the same with all the other players in the team."
