Premier League contenders Arsenal have reportedly sent a representative to seal the deal for a summer move involving Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata.

"The North London club have sent chief negotiator Dicky Law to Madrid to finalise a deal for the 21-year-old Spanish striker, who wants to leave the Santiago Berbabeu in the summer in search of first team football," suggests Christian Bailey of Caught Offside.

The promising 21-year-old has been struggling to secure a decent role in the Los Blancos squad this season, starting only once in 13 La Liga appearances.

He has led Spain's under-21 side to glory in 2013, clinching the European Under-21 Football Championship, while receiving top-scoring honours with 4 goals in 5 games.

However, a stuffed Madrid frontline that features Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema, among others, will only mean that his growth as a player will be hindered.

Morata will be able to give the Gunners a fresh perspective as far as their attacking options are concerned, which have been marred by injuries, or lack of form - in the case of backups.
