Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini will b out for the next two to three weeks due to a groin injury, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger confirmed on Wednesday.

Flamini suffered a groin injury in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace and is still expected to go MRI to determine the extent of the damage.

With Flamini likely out for two or three weeks, Arsenal will sure miss the presence of one of the most active defensive midfielder in the English Premier League.

The Gunners are scheduled to face Chelsea in the Capital One Cup Tuesday night and then take on Liverpool in the English Premier League this coming Saturday

On November 6, Arsenal will face Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League before taking on Manchester United in league plat at Old Trafford on November 10.

"When we get the results we will know how long he will be out," Wenger told ESPN FC. "It doesn't look like a bad muscle injury but it is his groin."

The former AC Milan midfielder recorded 15 interceptions during the 2013-14 regular-season.
