Arsenal fans were reportedly dissatisfied with the mood and ambience of the Emirates Stadium, according to Telegraph UK. Apparently the fans were requesting the football club to have a new singing section in the ground and an area for safe standing.

The Black Scarf Movement has launched a survey to a total of 17,000 supporters. More than half of the participants expressed their disappointment and described the ambience as poor. Less than 6 percent said the ambience was good while 90 percent of the participants noted they want a new singing section and a safe standing area.

Arsene Wenger, Arsenal's manager, has claimed it would indeed be a great idea to revamp the ambience of the stadium.

"A quite, sanitized stadium is not what football is all about," David O'Leary, a representative of the Black Scarf Movement, said. "The fans and supporters want to be able to show their passion in giving support to the team, it is about feeling the unity and family among fans and supporters," he added.

"It is about time that a proper action was taken, the game is about passion, it is about excitement, the players want cheers and support," O' Leary noted.

A spokesman of Arsenal was quick to release a statement. "We are always looking for different ways to make the atmosphere better, and work with our fans and supporters' groups to work it out."

In any game, the cheers and support that a team or a player gets from the fans boosts the performance. The noise, cheers and boos from fans and followers are key factors to winning, but it may also cause pressure.

Arsenal will face Southampton Saturday, Nov. 23 for its next match.
