Mischa Badasyan, the Russian born 26-year-old gay man plans to have sex with a different person every day for a year as part of his art project, called "Save the Date,". He hopes to challenge ideas of sexuality and homosexuality and explore the causes of loneliness even in this age of various hook up apps like Tinder and Grindr.

In this project, Badaysan plans to explore the link between loneliness, hookups and the idea of having sex in "non-places," a term he uses in reference to shopping malls, super markets, airports, and motorways. In these non places, people lose out their identity and sense of belonging that could make them feel lonely. He hopes to explore what happens when he has sex in these "non-places." and measure his levels of loneliness, despite getting intimate and meeting a new person every day.

Badasyan, a performance artist based in Berlin, plans to start his "Save the Date" project in September, where he will have sex with a different man every day for an entire year. He plans to use dating apps and websites to meet up with men in different types of "non-places." He will also study more on the nexus of anonymous sex and anonymous spaces. His project will investigate the stage of sexual and physical loneliness in spite of being with so many people.

Although Badasyan is not sure whether he may attain the goal of one sexual partner a day, he is determined to do his best. He is influenced by the works of Sophie Calle who has succeeded in striking a fine balance between documentary and performance with a heavy dose of sexuality.

Badasyan has already signed up for internet sex sites to initiate his project and has also been tested for STDs and has managed to get himself a condom sponsor to ensure safety and sensibility during this overwhelming sensual experience. Badasyan hopes to collect an object from each partner as a token of his innovative dating sojourn .

Though some people have been critical about Badasyan's artistic experiment, he is enthusiastic about this art project of performing sex with a different man all day every year in his quest to unlock the secrets of loneliness even while they are in a crowd.
