After Thursday's statement that Demi Moore was definitely divorcing husband Ashton Kutcher, it seems that someone's backpedalled a bit.

The pair, who has been under intense media scrutiny since Kutcher was rumoured to have an affair, have been reported as going through Kabbalah marriage counselling recently. Can this mean that the couple is trying to rise past the controversy instigated by Sara Leal?

Leal is the 22-year-old whom Kutcher had an alleged affair with the morning of his sixth wedding anniversary in September.

The "Margin Call" actress and the "Two and a Half Men" star have been spotted meeting at a friend's house in Beverly Hills. The residence has strong affiliations with the Kabbalah community and has been informally called the Kabbalah House.

The 49-year old actress has also been seen without her wedding band, an unfortunate development as she also left in a separate car. The 33-year-old Kutcher has put on a hopeful face via his Twitter feed, but as they left the house, both parties appeared dismal and distant. No news yet as to a reconciliation.

Before the announcement of the divorce, Kutcher and Moore were one of the more solid Hollywood couples, Moore even chose @MrsKutcher to be her twitter handle in the micro blogging/social networking platform that her husband was obsessed with.

A source close to the actress has said that when she saw Moore in early November, she said that she was confident but was in a very self-critical, unproductive place but she was optimistic that things will get better.

The source said that now that the divorce was under way, she's been feeling better, even if she does look a bit wan and lean these past few weeks.
