Ashton Kutcher has taken the top spot in Forbes' Highest Paid TV Actors for this year.

The 34-year-old has taken the crown from Charlie Sheen and knocked off some of his rivals in the Forbes' list. Ashton, who stars in the hit TV sitcom "Two and a Half Men" bagged approximately $24 million since he replaced Sheen in the show.

Despite topping the list last year with $40 million, Charlie failed to make it to the top ten this year.

"Kutcher took over for Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men and quickly became one of the highest-paid men on television. Ratings have slipped a bit but the show is still a bona fide hit for CBS," a spokesperson of Forbes magazine said. "In addition to acting, Kutcher is an active Silicon Valley investor. He got in early on Skype, Spotify and Airbnb which is now worth $1 billion."

Due to his public meltdown, Charlie Sheen was fired from the sitcom and was replaced by Ashton Kutcher. But even if the ratings decreased a bit, the show manages with 12.4 million viewers per episode.

On second spot is Hugh Laurie with $18 million and Ray Romano with the same amount. Alec Baldwin and Mark Harmon follow with $15 million each. Meanwhile Ashton's co-star, Jon Cryer is at 7th spot with 13 million.

Famous comedy actor Steve Carrell has been dropped off from the list since he left NBC sitcom "The Office" in 2011.
