Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher has done in just 48 hours what regular tourists do in a week: tour Sydney.

His activities included flying in a chopper from the CBD to Picton for skydiving, compulsory Harbour cruise and meal at Bondi Icebergs, patting koalas and snakes in a private exhibit and a lunch of barbecued kangaroo.

"It's a little bit like beef - kinda lean, nice, a little salty. Not so bad," he told Confidential during the red carpet of his new film The Killers.

Kutcher, who was amusingly harrassed by a fan for an autograph while screaming "I'm in a hurry" at his movie's premiere, said that he and his wife Demi Moore made a deal that they are not to be separated from each other for more than two weeks.

Moore had planned to join him during his visit.

"But she had to go and start rehearsals for her next movie so had to pull out," he said.

"Two weeks - it's tough and it sucks, we don't go any longer than that."

Although the character he portrays in The Killers is an assassin secret from his wife (Katherine Heigl), the actor confessed that the biggest secret he kept from Moore was not breaking up with a chick for six months.

"I just couldn't work out how to do it," he said.

His stepdaughter Rumer Willis, who had a recent jump in the US, had influenced him to go skydiving last Saturday. He also used this as a way to kick the jet lag.

"I knew if there was something to do to get a really adrenalin boost we could make it through the night and so we said skydiving."
