Pakistan has the worst airport in 2014, according to a travel Web site. Singapore, on the other hand, topped the list of best airports in 2014.

The criteria for choosing the quality of a given airport were 4 C's: Comfort, Convenience, Cleanliness and Customer Service. Comfort at the airports all over the worlds were judged by unpleasant temperatures, limited and uncomfortable seating and crowded terminals. Conveniences at the airports were judged on the availability of 24-hour food options, Wi-Fi and activities to do in case of a delay or a layover. The airports were also judged on their cleanliness. It was checked if the floors were dirty, food courts untidy and bathrooms smelly. The customer service of the airports was judged according to their staff's helpfulness and friendliness. The anti-airport sleeping policies were also taken into consideration, while judging the customer service of a particular airport.

"Sleeping in Airports" named Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad as worst airport in 2014. Islamabad airport has been compared to a "central prison" as it is criticised for its "pervasive corruption," "absence of crowd control" and "aggressive-yet-inconsistent security checks." Travellers apparently complained about the airports incapability of handling passengers. Hopefully for Pakistan, Islamabad is going to have a new airport by 2016 that is expected to improve the air travel considerably in the country.

According to the Web site, the best Web site for 2014 is Singapore Changi International Airport. This was the 18th consecutive year that the airport was considered to be the best in the world. Travellers are apparently in awe of the soothing ambience of the airport which has friendly staff and an intuitive layout. The airport has been compared with a shopping mall or a resort as the airport has cultural activities, themed gardens, spas, gym, swimming pool, movie theatres, 4-story slide, lounges and world-class shopping. Additionally, it also provides free Singapore city tour for those who suffer a delay or a layover.
