Assassin's Creed 3 had a lot of followers. According to Forbes, however, there have been moments that with proper improvement, it could have created an even more astounding game.

A good place to start would be to find that middle ground between the way the first two installments, Brotherhood and Revelations had focused on their roots, and the way third's more macroscopic treatment of the stories.

Another important factor that may seem like an obvious necessity but was pointed out as something lacking was the actual assassinations, particularly in the third installment.

However, Softpedia reports that the major addition in Black Flag is Edward Kenway, an effective assassin that does his best work in both the high seas and settlements. This has a strong whiff of potential when it comes to better assassinations, especially when you couple this with improved naval combats.

Polygon reports that there are improvements based on the problems in the third installment, such as improvement on stealth, a more seamless transition from one element to the next to have a more cohesive flow in the narrative, and putting side quests of higher importance in the game.

When it comes to the story line, EuroGamer reports that gamers can look forward to 50 locations all over the Caribbean, which will be part of the uncover and stealth adventure, which is the heart of the game.

And all of this is based on the Golden Age of Piracy, meaning close alliances, democracy, and even a few well-known pirates the likes of Blackbeard and Charles Vane.

It doesn't stop there. Open seas also includes the worlds submerged below, and Kenway will be exploring wrecks, particularly in the hunt for treasures to improve your battle loot.

EndGadget also adds that multiplayer is also set in this world, though there are no details of how this will proceed. What is certain is that the launch has of Black Flag is slated on October 29 in platforms including PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and its next-gen counterpart, Wii U, and PC.
