For those who are looking forward to the multiplayer of the Assassin's Creed 4, there won't be a repeat of scenic ships that have been popular with the previous installment of the game.

"It took a very big dedicated team in Singapore about two-and-a-half years to do it for the solo [play]," said Tim Browne, lead multiplayer game designer at Ubisoft Annecy, to VG 24/7.

"in Black Flag, it's even better, but for solo. We've looked at it and we've considered it. We seriously considered it. We think it would be cool, but at the same time we tried it, and for technical reasons, it's impossible."

However, there's still hope with the Wolfpack co-op mode, where it expands the idea introduced in Assassin's Creed 3, but this time, with another big step for the fourth installment.

According to Shack News, the Wolfpack mode adds the Discovery mode, which follows a tutorial mode that lets you move on to the Unleashed mode. The report states that the Discovery mode was placed there in order to initiate the players into the rules of the game.

Basically, the Unleashed mode will expose you to various assassination techniques, from multi-kills to cooperative sync-kills with other players, with the goal of taking out the enemy, defending your treasure, and reaching the highest possible sequence.

GTA 5 character swaps inspires GTA 5 mod

The release date of GTA 5 is still more than a month away, but if you want to experience a different kind of Grand Theft Auto gameplay, there's a new mod that was inspired by the character swap feature that has been promised for the GTA 5.

Cinema Blend reports that the GTA 4 mod will give the character swapping mode to three characters, Niko Bellic, Johnny, and Luis, each with his own set of health, armor, and ammunition records, as well as wanted level.

So you have to be careful whom you switch to, as those with a wanted record will make a run from the cops every time you switch out of their point of view. Even the characters who don't have a high wanted level would be wandering around, so you have to be ready which mode you'll find yourself in when you do some character swapping.

This is a pretty good practice run for those who would want to make the most out of the GTA 5 character swapping feature. For the latest installment, the three characters whose point of views you can take over are Michael, Trevor, and Franklin.

Cinema Blend provides the link to download the GTA 4 mod. Just simply visit this site to get the mod: http://gtaxscripting.blogspot.com.br/2013/07/gta-v-style-in-gta-iv.html

Battlefield 4 cross-gen transfers and Commander Mode

If you have heard the news that Battlefield 4 will not support any cross-gen saves, the developers have another thing in mind, and are doing their best to consider what the community deems best for its gaming experience.

According to Videogamer, DICE has already given its word that they are looking into the possibility of save transfers, as confirmed by a tweet in their official Twitter account:

"We've heard reports that players would like their stats and progression to transfer from current to next-gen in #BF4. We're investigating."

Apart from the possible cross-gen transfers, it was also reiterated that the Commander Mode app lets you play the game on the go. But the catch here is that you need to specific devices for it to run, as specified by an official tweet:

"Commander Mode will only support iOS tablet devices including the iPad as well as Android tablets such as the Google Nexus."

More information on Battlefield 4, including the much-teased Premium version should be expected next month at Gamescom.
