‘Assassin’s Creed’ movie merch and preorders total US$1200, actual game series discounted on PS Store

“Assassin’s Creed” the movie is pushing up the hype train even with more than half a year until its expected launch in cinemas in December. This is because tickets for the game are already being put up for preorder via Kernel.

What’s more, the preorders are not just for the tickets, because the packages offered cost as much as US$1,200 (approx. AU$1,600). For fans who just want a piece of the preorder action, the lowest price to get is the US$15 (approx. AU$ 20) package, which features one movie ticket, a copy of the script, a watch branded with the “Assassin’s Creed” franchise, removable tattoos for main characters and other extras, as per GameSpot. This alone is already a good enough buy for what it’s worth.

Some other additions to the package depending on the price include shirts, hidden blade toys, a hoodie with the AC brand, a scale statue of Aguilar and even a replica of the crossbow in the movie for the highest bundle. According to the source, this last package addition is a limited edition, as there will only be 20 pieces made and designed by Tim Wildgoose, responsible for crafting weapons in Hollywood.

On top of that, all preorder bundles will give buyers the chance to join a special contest for a two-person trip to the San Diego Comic-Con. The “Assassin’s Creed” movie still has not showcased a trailer, though talks of a sequel are already in place, with lead star Michael Fassbender already set to return for the role of Callum Lynch.

The preorder tickets and bundle for the upcoming “Assassin’s Creed” title may be expensive. But those who want to enjoy discounts for the gaming component of the franchise can do so on the PlayStation.

Polygon spotted an ongoing discount promo at the PS Store for the “Assassin’s Creed” franchise. Currently, there are 23 “Assassin’s Creed” titles on sale, with some titles aimed for the PS3, some on the PS4 and even a few for the PS Vita.

Among the titles on sale include “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate” Gold edition for the PS4, “Assassin’s Creed III” Ultimate Edition for the PS3 and “Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag” Gold Edition all at 60 percent off. A handful of titles even have their price tags slashed off at 75 percent, like “Assassin’s Creed Revelations” Ultimate Edition, “Assassin’s Creed III Liberation,” “Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Ultimate Edition,” the original “Assassin’s Creed” and “Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines.” The full list of “Assassin’s Creed” discounted titles can be seen in the link here.
