Google's lips remained sealed about the next generation Nexus also rumored to be Nexus 7.2 or Nexus 7 2. Speculations are high that Google will be releasing their next best tablet this month or sometime soon. The latest rumor on this tablet comes from an Asus customer representative. Reports indicate the rep dished out some interesting specs about the new Nexus 7.

Before the specs from the Asus rep came out, there were already a lot of rumors about the Nexus 7.2 It started when Asus K008 and K009 showed up on the Bluetooth SIG and FCC filings. It is almost confirmed that Asus will be the company behind the second generation Nexus 7. The previously mentioned tablet, K009, was reported to the Nexus device under the FCC filing.

Apart from the FCC sighting, another sighting adding to the Nexus rumors came about. A user in Reddit "nabbed" and shared a conversation between an Asus customer service rep and a potential customer for the Nexus 7.2. Unlike other customer service agents, the person did not stick to the script or provided any standard answers. The representative was transparent and straightforward. US Daily Voice reports the person even discussed the release date and specs of the product coinciding with the rumors.

The conversation indicated that the release date for the Nexus 7.2 will be before July ends. This matches expectations well as Google previously released the first Nexus on the same month. When it comes to specs, earlier leaks were from the Bluetooth SIG and FCC filings.

Specs included a 7-inch LCD display featuring 1980 x 1200 resolution. The device will run on a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 32GB internal memory and 2GB RAM. It will also feature the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and a 1.2 megapixel front camera and 5-megapixel rear camera. Google Nexus 7.2 also comes with a 4,000 mAh battery.

Reports also note that it seems like Google will be offering a 4G LTE and NFC versions of the device. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. Word of caution thought, customer and rep conversations can also be just created just as quickly. It may be a good thing to wait for an official announcement.
