Asus ZenWatch: Premium Wearable Available At Best Buy
The Taiwanese company geared up for the launch of its new device alongside the new trio apps in Google Play namely: Asus ZenWatch Manager, Asus Remote Camera and Asus Wellness. The latest wearable was revealed last September and since then has intrigued consumers.
The watch is powered by Google's Android Wear operating system. It is equipped with a 1.63-inch 320x320 AMOLED display. It runs on a relatively impressive 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of onboard flash storage, 9to5 Google reports.
The device described by some as the most elegantly designed Android watch to date has a curved metal face that perfectly adjusts to the user's wrist which brings ease and comfort. It comes with an elegant brown leather strap which can be matched with business suits and stylish enough to be used for casual affairs.
The ZenWatch can easily be sync with user's smartphone, it lets you control the phone by registering various taps and gestures on the watch's screen. Such feature is unique to the Zen. For example, a user can unlock his smartphone or tablet by simply tapping the watch's display or silence incoming phone calls in a single wave of hand over the watch face. Asus also added a feature which lets owners locate their phones by making it ring even when it is on silent mode.
Business Daily News also adds that the Asus wearable can be connected via Bluetooth to any Android smartphone which notifies the user about new calendar events, emails, SMS, phone calls and more. With the Zen's phone dictation feature, the user can easily create new emails and text messages when there is a need for prompt replies. The new wearable can also monitor personal Google accounts to automatically deliver information like flight updates and delivery tracking.
The elegantly designed watch is available at Best Buy for $229.95. However, Droidmatters.com's latest report says that the ZenWatch is nowhere to be found in Best Buy's website. Official words from Asus and Best Buy still has to be heard.
