AT&T, the largest U.S. carrier, started on Tuesday to accept pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S4 on its Web site. The carrier would only accept orders for the 16GB model on black and white colours and the offer is limited to select areas for the meantime.

The carrier said more models would be available in the coming days as it gets more pre-orders. The S4 is priced at $199 and comes with a two-year contract. Those who would opt for a one-year contract would have to pay $449.99 while the unsubsidized version has a price tag of $639.99.

AT&T said it would start shipment for the newest smartphone from the South Korean tech giant on April 30.

The phone is now anticipated by techies because of its new specs, including the Smart Pause which stops the video when the user is not looking at the device, and Air View that grants the user access to extra information about an email or photo by just hovering over it without the need to click or open the file.

The Galaxy S4 has 5-inches of Super AMOLED display with 440ppi.

Besides AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon are also scheduled to start shipment of the S4 pre-ordered from their sites on May 1 and May 30, respectively.
