A new partnership between the Aurora Group and Majestic Hotels is set to benefit the South Australian and Northern Territory markets by expanding the properties on offer and combining marketing knowledge and experience for the tourism industry.

In total, the partnership will boost properties on offer to 11 including: Aurora Alice Springs; Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge, Alice Springs; Aurora Kakadu and Kakadu Lodge; Aurora OzoneHotel, Kangaroo Island; Shady Glen Tourist Park, Darwin; Adelaide’s Majestic Roof Garden Hotel; North Adelaide’s Majestic Minima Hotel; Majestic Tynte Street and Old Lion Apartments and the Majestic Oasis Apartments, Port Augusta.

Aurora Hotels-Resorts-Attractions Director of Sales and Marketing, Gideon Baker said the alliance would strengthen promotion of tourism in SA and the NT. “It brings a new depth of marketing to both organizations and gives us added coverage for no real added costs,’’ Baker said. “For example, there are great opportunities to market cooperatively in places like China."

“You could develop a great package offer bringing tourists to Adelaide/Kangaroo Island with accommodation at one of the great Majestic properties in Adelaide and in KI at the Aurora Ozone, which is on the beautiful foreshore at Kingscote.’’

He said that not only were marketing opportunities now being explored and developed by the two marketing teams’ alliance, there were likely to be other spinoffs for hospitality staff within the two organizations.

These could include staff exchanges and placements as well as cooperating on HR management and use of social and digital media.
