Aurora Minerals has announced the discovery of more than 600 metres of broad copper mineralisation at its GBO prospect, along with promising intersections at its Pink Elephant prospect from Stage 2 drilling at its Glenburgh Copper-Gold Project in central Western Australia.

Significant intersections included 28 metres at 0.6 per cent copper from surface including 6 metres at 1.4 per cent from 6 metres at Pink Elephant, and 24 metres at 0.38 per cent copper from 94 metres, 30 metres at 0.3 per cent from 104 metres, 20 metres at 0.4 per cent from 130 metres and 10 metres at 0.3 per cent from 64 metres at GBO.

In October, Aurora Minerals announced it discovered a gold component at the Pink Elephant prospect, the Proactive Investors said.

Aurora is still waiting results for holes drilled at the western end of the GBO Prospect. A zone of more than 600 metres strike length has been delineated in the central portion of the GBO prospect.

The prospect extends more than 6 kilometres in strike along the Knotmi Fault structure, which has been traced for at least 30 kilometres within Aurora's tenements.
