'Blue Jasmine's' star Cate Blanchett is not taking it slow after winning the Sunday's Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in Woody Allen's comedy-drama. The 44-year-old mom of three boys (Dashiell, 12, Roman, 9, and Ignatius, 5) is currently leading the Aussies for the upcoming Academy Awards.

The 2014 Academy Awards is looking pretty bright for Australians in Hollywood, with at least eight Aussies slowly climbing the tough and winding stairs of the Oscars. The annual event is scheduled on March 2 in Hollywood's Dolby Theater where tinseltown's elite will collect their Oscar statuettes.

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences announced Blachett's nominations for her role in 'Blue Jasmine' together with other nominees including Sandra Bullock for 'Gravity,' Judi Dench for 'Philomena,' Emma Thompson for 'Saving Mr. Banks' and Amy Adams for 'American Hustle.'

The Australian actress will also grace the cover of Vogue Australia as the golden girl on their February issue as she models a Gucci metallic copper suit. Blanchett's cover picture is the perfect reminiscent of Australia's famous red dessert sand dunes.

During an interview with the magazine, the actress revealed her regrets after finishing a film saying: 'I'm always so full of regret when a film has finished. By the end of the shoot I want to start again, I want the chance to make it better.'

When asked about her role in 'Blue Jasmine,' the actress expresses her connection to the film. 'I felt like I connected in Blue Jasmine, and given how few takes we did and how frequently the scenes played out in one shot, you felt for better or for worse that you, as actors, were in command of the scenes,' explains Cate.

Known as one of the most renowned Australian actress of her generation, Cate dazzled in the recent Golden Globe Awards as she celebrated her victory with fellow Australian actors. Actress Margot Robbie and Naomi Watts joined Blachett in the annual event.

Cate's upcoming film 'Cinderella' will soon hit the theaters as she plays the wicked step mother. The Walt Disney Pictures film is based on the fairy tale 'Cinderella' played by Lily James as the title role. The movie is scheduled to be released on March 13, 2015.
