Australian 'Bachelor' Sam Wood shopped last minute to find perfect ring for Snezana Markoski
For “The Bachelor Australia” star Sam Wood, a jeweller and his team reportedly had to work through the night to deliver the perfect engagement ring on time. Wood approached the jeweller a week before he actually proposed to Snezana Markoski.
Wood and Markoski are this year's "The Bachleor Australia" couple, and on Monday, Wood took to Instagram to announce that they are now engaged. “She said YES! When you know, you know. I love you Snezana,” he wrote in the caption of the photo featuring the engagement ring.
Wood’s jeweller Carson Wolf told the Sydney Morning Herald that the Australian “Bachelor” visited his store only a week before the big day. Though the ring had to be made on a short notice, the folks at Bensimon Diamonds reportedly worked through the night to give Wood his ring of choice -- a platinum, hand-crafted, princess cut with over two carats and a halo design.
According to Wolf, Wood knew exactly what he wanted. He said that the personal trainer came with a photo on his phone and did not agree to any other suggestion made by the jeweller. The cost of the ring is estimated to be around $50000.
To stop the media from getting a sniff of his plan, Wood is said to have met the jeweller in a secret location at the Crown in Melbourne, according to the report. Wood, Wolf and the company’s co founder Ron Bensimon also kept their meeting a secret by entering and exiting through different entrances.
In "The Bachelor Australia" Season 3 finale, aired in September, Wood, who is an entrepreneur and fitness guru, gave the final red rose to Markoski, a single mother of one, as well put a promise ring on her finger.
