Convicted sex offender William Kamm, aka "The Little Pebble," was allowed parole on November. His impending release has surprised many including the author who had written a book on him.

Graham Webber, who wrote the unauthorised biography of the jailed Nowra cult leader, expressed his surprise that Kamm was expected to be released soon. Webber based his book "A Wolf Among the Sheep" on the life of Kamm who was refused parole only nine months back. Kamm has served nine of the 10 year jail term which he had been sentenced in 2005. He was convicted for having sex with a minor when he was in a position of authority, ABC News reported. He was also convicted for indecent assault. Webber said that the molesting Kamm was convicted of had taken place in 1991.

The news of Kamm's release distressed his victim who had been impregnated by him while he raped her. The 30-something victim has a 15-year-old son who was conceived while Kamm raped her. The woman suffered crippling aftershocks when she tried moving on with her life with the son. She said that the idea of Kamm moving freely made her scared. She said that she was scared that Kamm would commit similar offences against several other girls. She also revealed that Kamm had claimed, while he tortured and raped her, that it was what the Virgin Mary was instructing him to do so. "Over a five-year period he'd take me to a hotel in Wollongong and he'd just have his way with me," The Daily Telegraph quoted her, "I'd turn around, close my eyes and cry."

The Order of St Charbel members, on the other hand, are waiting for their "prophet" to come back. Bettina Kamm, the ex-wife of the sect leader, said that her former husband had sex with underage girls every week. She said that his followers still considered him as their prophet. Kamm was apparently responsible for making several teenage girls pregnant. He used to justify his actions by saying that God had made them pregnant. Bettina said that she would try to retain the custody of six children she had with Kamm.
