The Australian Fashion Week is among us and all eyes are trained on the runway. Attracting just as much--if not more--attention are the familiar faces on the front row; celebrities temporarily occupying a coveted seat in the country's most sartorial week.

Although bright colors and ethereal whites are in the hype on the runway, the A-List audience at the Australian Fashion Week all preferred to don darker colors for the shows.

Model and socialite Lara Bingle showed up looking sharp and chic in a Christopher Esber structured dress. She kept it understated with simple gold jewelry and her hair pulled up in a bun, but the fashion muse was a picture-perfect sight.

Fellow Aussie and friend Phoebe Tonkin donned a similarly dark ensemble, pairing a structured black top with short shorts. Although the color was dark, Tonkin's style was fresh and youthful, and the actress looked every bit the rising star she is becoming known as.

Shoe designer Terry Biviano shows the world she's got more to offer than just designing high-end shoes as she wowed the Australian fashion scene in a monochrome outfit and a particularly amazing Saint Laurent & Carla Zampatti shirt. Not everyone could pull off the look.

Another celebrity in black is model and blogger Nikki Philips. The blonde bombshell can pull off anything, and for the fashion event she paired a black top with a colorful knee-length skirt that accentuated her svelte figure.

Tonkin was snapped with fellow actress Gracie Otto, and both showed off their customary monochrome ensembles. The multi-talented Otto looked put together and fashionable in a simple black dress, a short slit drawing attention to her shapely legs.

Meanwhile, Kate Waterhouse was a vision in her Gucci number. The fashion editor, always ready to try new style choices, looked the part of a high-profile fashion darling in the avant garde piece.
