Australian healthcare provider Aspen Medical in talks to enter Middle Eastern markets
The Australian healthcare provider Aspen Medical is aiming to open new export opportunities in the Middle Eastern markets. Aspen, with the federal parliament’s Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade, is in discussion for a trade with the Middle East at a public hearing in Canberra.
Aspen Medical’s senior executives will be working to introduce the potential of Australia’s services sector to find new export opportunities with the Middle East. Aspen Medical, as a global provider of innovative and tailored healthcare solutions, aims to make progress in the region with a population of over 350 million.
The healthcare provider delivers cost-effective customised healthcare services across the world, even in remote, challenging or under-resourced places. Aspen is currently providing combat first aid training and ambulance service in the United Arab Emirates.
Aspen’s work with the Abu Dhabi Police in providing new ambulance services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi has led the National Ambulance Company to win a contract to provide helicopter emergency medical services for the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and its subsidiaries. The company is considered one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies.
To date, there are more than 2,200 employees working in Aspen Medical. Countries benefitting from their medical services are Australia, the Pacific, the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Aspen aims to help personnel and civilians to be prepared to treat combat casualties during dangerous circumstances. They offer training courses designed for both Australian and UAE military personnel and civilians, to provide medical service to their colleagues in the field.
