Australian hunk Hugh Jackman seems prone to injury after he was hit in the groin as he bats for a game of cricket. Jackman played during the first day of the Fourth Test match between England and his home country Australia, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground over the weekend.

Jackman was taping for a segment for The Ashes Test cricket series Australian broadcast on Channel 9, when he received a pitch from cricket professional player Shane Warne. The 42-year old was unfortunately hit on the groin, but did manage to laughe it off with Warne and others present at the taping.

Reports say that the Wolverine star was wearing protective gear, so the actor sustained no serious injury from the mighty strong pitch from Warne.

Jackman was also injured in another taping this month of December. He sustained injury while filming for the Australian episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. He zipped into the audience via a wire but hit right into a light fixture attached to the riggings of the set.

The actor suffered a gash under the eye and some bruising. According to a news report, a calm Jackman "asked for a tissue" while he was dangling 20 feet in the air, waiting for help to come. (See full report here: Hugh Jackman injured in Oprah Show)
