Australian police have busted a drug ring network, capturing at least 90 people, during an inter-state operation that covered south-east Queensland.

Raids were carried at on Thursday morning on eight properties in the Brisbane region, on addresses that included Pimpama, Ormeau and Jimboomba. Two men, meantime, were arrested in Melbourne and Sydney on Wednesday.

The operation captured 89 people who will be slapped with 352 charges, including 40 charges of trafficking dangerous drugs. Among those arrested were nightclub DJs, supervisors and service staff of Fortitude Valley nightclub district, as well as very young people.

Illegal drugs with a value of about $3.5 million were seized. Also restrained during the operation were properties worth $1 million.

Steve Holahan, State Crime Operations Commands Detective Superintendent, said a Redland address was used to store the drug, which has connections to big drug suppliers in Melbourne and Sydney, where the arrests of the two men on Wesnesday happened.

The men, one aged 36 and from Sydney while the other from Melbourne, aged 36, are due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday.

"We were very surprised at the age of many people that were caught, many were young," he said.

"(Clubbing) is one of those environments where you can meet hundreds of people (drug dealers). We're trying to disturb the distribution so it doesn't end up in the hands of young people."
