Australian Kirk Baxter and his US colleague Angus Wall were probably the most tongue twisted winners during the 84th Academy Awards which happened last Sunday at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. Baxter said that they were surprised for their second Oscar throphy this time.

Baxter and Wall won the "Best in Editing" for their work in David Fincher's "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo." Last year, the unbeatable pair also took home the same award for their work in "The Social Network."

Both Baxter and Wall didn't think they had a shot at winning since their film wasn't nominated for the "Best Picture" category, also considering the fact that they already won the same award from last year.

"We weren't expecting this," Baxter said after beating early favorites' "Hugo" and "The Artist" in the same category. The two were almost snubbed at the pre-Oscars award show where editors from "Hugo" and "The Artist" were much more favored.

The 40-year-old editor who gave up Sydney's northern beaches now lives in Los Angeles with his wife Susan and their 7-year-old daughter Bronte. He now holds prestige in the Australian filmmaking history by having two Oscar throphies in his achievements.

"I think the fact we were flabbergasted standing there speaks for itself. Our movie wasn't nominated for best picture so it was surprising to us," Baxter said. "There's no getting used to it. It's a very absurd place to be standing."
