Australian model and actress Megan Gale is pregnant at 38 years old. This is her first time to become a mom. The father of her unborn child is her boyfriend, 25-year-old Australian football player Shaun Hampson, who plays for the Richmond Football Club, The Tigers, in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Gale excitedly announced her pregnancy news on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 in her official Instagram account, along with a sonogram of the fetus which is only 13 weeks old.

"I'm so excited and thrilled to announce that my boyfriend Shaun and I are expecting our first child together and I'm 13 weeks pregnant. We have prayed for this beautiful little soul to come along and now it's happened we could not be more thankful and we can't wait to be parents," Gale posted on her Instagram account.

"SO looking forward to meeting you our little angel," the Australian model and actress added.

Gale also posted her heartfelt thanks to the well-wishers on her official Twitter account. She tweeted three separate messages from Nov. 10-11, 2013. Check out one of the messages below.

Gale, who was born in Perth, Australia, is not only an actress and a model, but she is also a brand ambassador and a fashion designer. Her exotic looks are credited to her mixed ancestry of English from her father's side and Maori (indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand) from her mother's side.

She reportedly started modeling when she was 18 years old after winning a modeling competition. She retired from modeling in Jan. 2008. On her last catwalk for the launch of the David Jones winter collection in Sydney, she wore a Wonder Woman outfit. She wore the said outfit because around that time, it was announced that she was offered the part of Wonder Woman in the film "Justice League of America" (JLA) to be directed by Oscar-winning director George Miller ("Babe" and "Happy Feet"). Unfortunately, the JLA project got shelved and was cancelled.

She landed a role in the Australian feature film "I Love You Too," a romantic comedy wherein she played Francesca Moretti, an Italian supermodel.

Aside from being an actress, model, brand ambassador and fashion designer (Isola Swimwear), Gale is also a producer. She was the executive producer of the Project Runway Australia TV Series which aired from 2011-2012 with a total of 22 episodes.

Meanwhile, Gale's boyfriend, AFL player Hampson, used to play for the Carlton Football Club, the Blues, until he was traded to The Tigers on Oct. 7 in the 2013 National Australia Bank (NAB) AFL Draft.

And now, it looks like she'll also be successful in her family life. She has already dabbled in modeling, acting, producing and designing.
