Legendary Australian music artists are set to steal the show at the Australian Open 2014 as music meets sports music in an eclectic music specials for the Heineken Live Stage.

According to musicfeeds.com, Michael and Matt Gudinski’s “Mushroom,” have collaborated for a stellar Grand Slam opening specials for lovers of both music and sports.

Top artists including, The Preatures, The Rubens will be featured in the music specials. The live music line-up has been designed by the Music Group which will see The Rubens and Clare Bowditch on the finals of both the men and women’s tournament.

Other groups included in the live music line-up included local talents such as British India, Snakadaktal, and Stonefield, noted musicfeeds.com.

Expect to have a grand Australian Open 2014 with performances from Daryl Braithwaite and Jon Stevens. The music Web site added that Australia will have a fun night as well with BBC Radio 1′s legendary EDM maestro, Pete Tong.

The performances are open to the aficionados of the Australian Open with daily schedule from 6-7PM each day.

“Mushroom is thrilled to be involved with the Australian Open. As Melburnians it’s exciting for us to see the best of music and sport combined – two things we love. We’re especially proud to see the inclusion of so many great emerging bands,” musicfeeds.com quoted Mushroom Group’s Matt Gudinski as saying.

The Rubens, for its part could not be more excited to be part of the men’s finals.

The group said, “We can’t believe we’re playing on men’s final night at the Australian Open, and on Australia Day no less! We are all big tennis fans, so it’s most certainly a special gig for us. And we have our fingers crossed for an Aussie in the final too.”
