Australian pop star hit with a slingshot during video filming
Australian pop star Zoe Badwi was hit by a slingshot and her crew drenched with water during the filing of her newest video in Potts Point.
The incident occurred during filming when a neighbor emptied a slingshot from an overlooking window and also poured a bucket of water over production staff.
The dance singer-songwriter known for her hits Free Fallin' and Release Me was in the area to film the video to her new single Accidents Happen slated for release on January 31.
"I don't know what was in the sling shot but it was something because it flew past one of the guys head and he heard it hit the wall so it was pretty serious," the singer told AAP. "I don't know if the person was angry with life but it was on, I was ready to go buy a carton of eggs and pelt his window."
Badwi will release her new album this year and is already almost finished with the recording. The filming used low level backing track to cut down the noise and residents were informed of the filming. The video shoot went on afterward with no incident and no one was apprehended over the matter.
