The largest provider of electricity and gas in Australia continues to grow at an astounding rate. The company now services 150 thousand customers.

Chief Executive officer James Wyatt of Australian Power and Gas proudly disclosed the results of yesterday's financial meeting. He said the company has over AU$130 million in revenue from 145 customer accounts. The amount is twice the AU$72 million in revenues last year.

The 2009 number one fastest growing company has renewed its AU$50 million dollar working capital facility in order to be able to efficiently service customers until the end of 2012. The renewed capital allows the electricity provider to continue a 100 day billing cycle.

Wyatt said 2011 will be a watershed year since they are expecting AU$200 to 220 million in revenue. He argued that the expected revenue will come from an expanded distribution coverage of 250 customers. “The reason for that is, we've now expanded to Queensland, whereas before our customers were predominantly from Victoria,” he said.

The power company has diversified in its sales channels in its three years of operation. It maintains a direct sales team, but utilizes internet switching and other new technologies. It continues to outsource billing and customer service requirements with Service Works.
