Australian singer Keith Urban says wife Nicole Kidman saves his life
Australian singer Keith Urban credited his wife Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman for saving his life saying that actress was the one who got him into rehab back in October 2006 for his drug and alcohol addiction.
Urban said it's fair to say that Nicole was the one who saved his life when asked by Ellen DeGeneres during his guesting in the latter's talk show.
Keith has also admitted that Nicole Kidman was not "exactly" aware how severe his problems with substance abuse when they married. Four months after their wedding, the country singer went on his third rehab in a period of eight years. Urban credited Kidman for staying by his side through out his rehabilitation.
Urban said, "I think the truth is that I wasn't aware of just where it was at in my life and how it was just going to come down and take me down like it did."
Keith Urban is currently in the United States to promote his latest album Get Closer, while Kidman is promoting her film Rabbit Hole, currently showing in theatres. The two are scheduled to appear in Oprah Winfrey's Ultimate Australian Adventure episode to be shot in Sydney, Australia.
