Australian Automobile Association (AAA) has launched best cars of 2013. AAA has selected 13 cars for this year's Australia's Best Car Awards. The list aims at assisting motorists and new car buyers in making the right choices for their future investment.

"The winning vehicles are the best of the best in their categories and perform consistently high in all assessment areas," AAA Chief Executive Andrew Mckellar said.

It is quite shocking that no car could pick the award for Best People Mover category in the awards list. "This is the first time in the 13 years of the program that an award has been withheld and it's unfortunate that not one vehicle in that class meets the expectations of an Australia's Best Car," Mckellar noted while speaking about the Best People Mover award.

Darren Moody, general manager of Roadside and Technical of the Royal Automobile Club of Tasmania, along with 11 other judges on the panel worked on the list of "Australia's Best Cars of 2013." Their sole aim is to make buying and investing in automobile easier for the buyers. These experts tested 50 vehicles for 15 categories before they arrived at this comprehensive list.

Moody spent six days at the Australian Research Centre at Anglesea in Victoria to test all the vehicles. The awards organized by AAA involved all the state automobile clubs.

"Winner of the Best Medium Car Under $50,000, the Mazda6 Touring, was also recognized as the "Judges' Choice" as it ticked all the boxes that make it a benchmark car in its class and will influence the direction of its competitors," McKellar cited.

Here is a comprehensive list of Australia's Best Cars of 2013 developed after meticulous testing by the experts, from which the new car buyers can make their future choice wisely.
