"Australia's Got Talent" is coming back to the Aussies' reality telly later this year. Nine Entertainment is optimistic AGT 2013 will be bigger and brighter in its new home. The 90's Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell, Kyle Sandilands, Dawn French, and Timomatic will be seated at the panel in Nine's first year with the show. The judges are already at work, appearing at auditions and promo events.

"It is a proven, much-loved format and has a strong history with Australian audiences. But now with The Voice as a stablemate and not a competitor, we believe Australia's Got Talent will return bigger and brighter. [It] feels really friendly which will appeal to both audiences and advertisers," Nine Entertainment Co. group sales and marketing director Peter Wiltshire told AdNews.

Australia's Got Talent was dropped by Seven after it suffered an alarming 40% ratings dip. The show stayed on Seven for six consecutive years.

The Daily Telegraph reported among the first ones to audition at Australia's Got Talent included "a Psy impersonator, a dog trainer named Rabbitt and a band of stripping Oompa Loompas." Timomatic has earlier said in a Take40 interview he won't be going easy with the AGT contestants. For her part, Geri is expected to chronicle her AGT stint on Twitter. And she's already begun.

In its seventh season, Australia's Got Talent will be hosted by Julia Morris.
