Australia’s Jack Vidgen All Set to Become the Next Justin Bieber
Jack Vidgen Drops Out of School
14 Year old Jack Vidgen, the winner of 2011 Australia’s Got Talent, has apparently quit high school to become the next Justin Bieber.
"This is what I love to do, this is what I'm doing -- I am achieving my goals," he told The Sunday Telegraph.
Jack dropped out of his year 9 class at Balgowlah Boys High in Sydney's northern beaches. He will instead study via distance education.
"Distance education is great because you can do it in your own time, I just need to complete the work which I have done so far," he said.
Since his first audition on Australia’s Got Talent, Jack quickly became the most talked about kid in the country. He made global headlines with his standout performance of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing which has had in excess of 1.5 million views worldwide on You Tube.
He's also secured a recording deal with his debut album set to be released on Friday August 19th, 2011. His debut single YES I AM, available to purchase from iTunes and all other digital retailers now, is now making it to the top 10 of the iTunes charts.
Jack’s debut album will feature all of his favourite hits including the tracks I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston, Adele’s Set Fire To The Rain and from the Dreamgirls Soundtrack, And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going, all of which were highlights from the 2011 Australia’s Got Talent series along with 2 tracks that Jack co-wrote including his debut single, YES I AM, which he performed on the Grand Final show.
