Australia’s Justin Bieber, Jack Vidgen Finishes First Album in Three Weeks
What usually takes months for any regular recording of albums has taken Australian Got Talent winner, Jack Vidgen three weeks.
After being named as this year’s winner of the AGT, Australia’s Vidgen, dubbed as the next Justin Bieber, wasted no time and started working on his first album ever. After long hours of work since then, Vidgen debuts his first album as scheduled on Friday, Aug. 19.
Courier Mail followed Vidgen while he was recording and he shared his most amazing experiences.
"We recorded it in three days. People told me it takes months to record an album. It took three days, but long hours. I was happy we didn't have to push the release date back, we could put it out there quickly."
Vidgen then confirmed that indeed it was with Sony did he sign a contract with after winning at the reality competition.
"I was told they (Sony) would love to sign me, but I didn't speak to them until the day after I won. They have the option to sign anyone in the show before anyone else. The grand final was on a Tuesday, I started the album on a Friday," Vidgen was quoted by the Courier Mail.
The teen sensation gave his fans a peek on what to expect from his first album in an interview posted by Courier Mail.
He is covering diva songs including Celine Dion, saying these are songs he had sung his whole life.
"They're songs I've sung my whole life, sung in talent quests, songs I've grown up with. Except Celine Dion's Because You Loved Me. I'd never done that. I did have the lyrics in front of me when I was singing that one,” Vidgen Said, according to Courier Mail.
He explained his choices of his songs as relative to his voice range.
They are the diva songs I do love to sing. Most of the covers were hits by females. That's what my range is. There aren't many male artists who have a high range like I do, “ he said.
The teen singer is going to have a busy weekend as he is set to appear on a number of shows to promote his album.
