Australia’s Justin Bieber Jack Vidgen Hailed as New “Crowd-Puller”
Millions of Australians Gathered Around the Campfire as they Make History of Viewership on Television
An estimated four million Australians tuned in to see Jack Vidgen to be named as the winner of the 2011 series of Channel Seven’s “Australia’s Got Talent”.
Calling him a ‘crowd-puller’, the Sydney Morning Herald noted that the Australia’s answer to Justin Bieber, Jack Vidgen has made almost half of the audience into Australian television last week Tuesday, August 2 to sit on their couches and watch him outdo a magician and a rapper to claim the title.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Vidgen made “Australia’s Got Talent” also a winner among its competitors on reality TV.
Of the 9.8 million Australians tuning in to the television, 2.2 million watched “Masterchef” and 1.5 million sat down for “The Amazing Race Australia”. And 2.6 million of the viewers were aged between 16 and 39.
Jack Vidgen said The Sydney Morning Herald has helped revived Australia’s dying television.
