Australia's Most Watched Clip of 2012 is Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’ (PICTURES)
Canadian star Carly Rae Jepsen's video "Call Me Maybe" has been ranked as Australia's most watched video clip of 2012, generating a total of 8.3 million stream views.
In the list collected by MCM Media's Digital Entertainment Network, it was ironic that Australians favored streaming international mainstream acts. The list, taken from57 music entertainment websites, including Vevo, Take 40 Australia, The Hot Hits, and the ARIA Charts, showed only one Australian artist, Guy Sebastian and his "Battle Scars"video made it to the country's top ten watched clips.
Ms Jepsen's music video was seconded by "One Thing" by English-Irish boy band One Direction. The group had two othermusic videos in the top ten list, including "What Makes You Beautiful" at number three and "Live While We're Young" at number seven.
Mr Sebastian's "Battle Scars" video was number six.
