Melissa Juratowitch, 16-year-old school-girl from Melbourne, is the winner of "Australia Top Next Model" Cycle 8. She became the winner of the coveted, reality T.V. competition by beating Nyadak "Duckie" Thot, 17, and Shanali, 16.

"Wow," Melissa said after winning "Australia Top Next Model," as quoted by Sydney Morning Herald. "This is insane."

Charlotte Dawson, one of the judges of "Australia's Next Top Model," has described the beauty of demure Melissa as being "like an alien doll."

"She has a unique look and her face is that extraordinary that nothing else seems to matter," Dawson said as quoted by News.com.au.

Melissa is one of the shortest models to win the "Australia's Next Top Model." Judge Alex Perry is known for his bias towards taller models. "It was the first time I said a model's height didn't matter," Perry said about Melissa.

According to Melissa's profile page on Fox8, she is obsessed with models of Victoria Secret and has an identical twin sister. "She can be quiet but very sweet." Melissa describes herself as someone with "seven finger forehead." The Melbourne school-girl never thought of participating in "Australia Top Next Model." Melissa had not intended to audition as she was not confident that she had it in her to become a model.

"I went to support a friend and had no intention of auditioning. The next thing I knew, I was on stage," she said.

"I never thought I could even be a model, so to win feels amazing," Melissa said, as quoted by Daily Telegraph. "I can't believe it, I can't fathom what is going on right now."

In addition to signing the lucrative contract with model agency IMG, Melissa also receives 20 thousand dollars in cash from TRESemmé. Also, she will be featured on the cover of Harper's Bazaar Australia -- slated to hit the shelves on October 7, 2013 -- and in its eight-page fashion spread, as well. Melissa also gets to drive a brand new Nissan 370z.

The winner of 'Australia's Next Top Model' was decided through public vote.
