Australia's Next Top Model's Sarah Murdoch announced the wrong winner for the Fox Televison's talent search. Murdoch initially anounced Sydney's Kelsey Martinovich as the season six's winner, and later admitted a mistake after Martinovich had already delivered her acceptance speech.

It turned out that the 18-year-old Amanda Ware, from Gold Coast, was the winner, as voted by the public. Later, the contest judge Charlotte Dawson said the public made the correct decision, further justifying Ware's win as the Gold Coast native is the absolute safest bet to be a top model.

While on live television, Murdoch announced the mistake and then, issued an appology.

"I'm so sorry, oh my God, I don't know what to say. This is a complete accident, I'm so sorry," said Murdoch

"It was fed to me wrong... 'This is what happens when you have live TV folks, this is insane, insane, insane."

Fox Television confirmed the company will give Kelsey Martinovich, $25,000 cash prize and a trip to New York as compensation for what Matinovich called "a big one" as far as television mistakes go.
