Following the tradition of pre-reality TV scandal, Australia's Next Top Model's guest mentor is alleged to have told a 16-year-old girl to shed off some weight.

According to the Herald Sun, a Foxtel spokesperson confirmed that Alison Boxer, a teenager from Melbourne weighing 55kg, was told to lose a centimetre off her waist.

"I have never tried to lose weight before, but since then I have been going to the gym twice a day and eating in proportion to try to lose the weight," Boxer said.

The weight issue has been circulating in the fashion industry for a long time and has caused several debates. However, it seems that it will never be resolved because the issue is subjective.

It is apparent that for every Fench Elle (known supporter of "normal sized" women through plus-sized cover models) there is an equivalent Anna Wintour (supporter of skinny in fashion), plus Next Top Model judge Charlotte Dawson.

Seemingly, body criticism will linger for a long time in the fashion world.
