She has had a number of film projects portraying tough characters. Latina actress, Michelle Rodriguez has played as an agent, military, police and swat personnel and any other role with guns with it. Or sometimes, an athlete or a boxer.

But the Avatar star has announced recently that she is ready to take on a daring role should the right project comes her way.

The star who played Ana Lucia for “Lost” admitted that a friend has teased her about her action roles, who has motivated her now for a change to more steamy roles.

"She was making fun of me...,” Rodriguez said, according to Aceshowbiz, of a friend who is convincing her to take on sexier roles.

The actress then explained why tougher roles had seemed to be her cup of tea having chosen to play such in most of them, saying she was doing it for her people.

Rodriguez explained, “I was focused on being kind of like, an example for Latinas; I didn't want them to be thinking that sexy is the only way to be powerful. But, y'know man, I'm gonna wrinkle up and lose it one day, and she reminded me of it, so I was like, 'I might as well put it to some use and go do the sexy thing for a while. Why not? ".

The star clarified however, that she is not planning on taking extreme sexy roles. She has expressed interest on working for some ‘romantic comedy stuff”.

She emphasized that she will not let go of her action roles as they remain close to her heart
"It's so much fun; I love me some destruction," Rodriguez was quoted as saying by Aceshowbiz.
