'Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron' Star Chris Hemsworth Thinks Title 'Sexiest Man Alive” Allows Bragging Rights
Chris Hemsworth is People's "Sexiest Man Alive For 2014." The Australian actor could not be more amused with the title.
The Australian actor was awarded the highly regarded title of "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine, besting other sexy honorees, Chris Pratt, Matthew McConaughey, and Adam Levine, among others. Even though proud of the title, Hemsworth, 31, and his wife, Spanish model Elsa Pataky, 38, thought the award was pretty funny. The "Avengers" star told People that the title allowed him a couple of weeks to brag around the house and avoid household chores. "I can just say to her, 'Now remember, this is what the people think, so I don't need to do the dishes anymore, I don't need to change nappies. I'm above that. I've made it now."
The actor also shared to People that he is really just a simple person. The Australian actor said that he would rather be back home in Australia more than anywhere else in the world, where he could spend time with his wife and three kids, a 2-year-old daughter and 8-month twin sons. He shared an especially memorable beach day in Australia, swimming and kicking ball, and said that this is what life for him is all about.
The actor also shared how he could be so sexy. He shared that he got his ripped body by being disciplined with both his diet and exercise. This does not mean he deprives himself all the time though. On his cheat days, he has everything he wants without guilt -pizza, burgers, beer, and sweet stuff.
On his interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday, where the news of his crowning as the sexiest man was unveiled, and he was phoned in via Skype, he joked that it's the "alive" part of the title that he's the happiest about. Also, he shared that he learned being sexy from Matt Damon. He also expressed his gratitude to all his predecessors, Matt Damon and previous "intelligent men."
Hemsworth, who is known for his powerful axe-wielding role as "Thor," is also set to star in two more movies where his muscles would be put into good use. He would be fighting off a terrorist hacker in the upcoming cyber thriller, "Blackhat," which is produced by Michael Mann. He would also star in Ron Howard's "In the Heart of the Sea," and this time, he would fight a big whale.
