'Avengers 4': Character from 'Thor' movie returns
A familiar character from “Thor: Ragnarok” may return in “Avengers 4.” A photograph of some of the cast members of the film with one of the directors at a restaurant teases the return of a familiar face.
According to a report by ComicBook.com, a photograph taken at a restaurant shows Taika Waititi (Korg) with some of the other cast members like Chris Evans (Captain America), Don Cheadle (James Rhodes), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Marisa Tomei (May Parker), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Director Joe Russo, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.
Korg was one of the gladiators on the planet Sakaar. The character was mostly there for comic relief in “Thor: Ragnarok,” and was missing in “Infinity War.”
In a previous interview, Feige had confirmed that they have plans for Korg and his friend Miek. He, however, did not tease when and in which film they will be seen next.
Miek was also a gladiator at Sakaar. He and Korg were on the ship with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) when they were attacked by Thanos (Josh Brolin). The writers of the film have already confirmed that some of the characters on the ship had escaped by the time the Mad Titan killed everyone.
The only confirmed Asgardian that has escaped from the ship is Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). It remains to be seen who else escaped and where they have gone in order to escape Thanos. Some of the escaped characters may have died after the Mad Titan snapped his fingers.
After the events in “Infinity War” all the remaining superheroes are scattered across the galaxy. The first thing they may have to do is come together, presumably on Earth, to come up with a plan to kill Thanos and also find a way to reverse what he has done.
“Avengers 4” is set to be released on May 3, 2019 in the US.
