Despite Robert Downey's recent confirmation that there is no plan for an "Iron Man 4," a new report claims another Marvel character with powers and richess like Iron Man could take over as the superhero.

"Black Panther" is a strong candidate according to Movie Pilot. There are reportedly two reasons why he stands a great chance of replacing Iron Man.

Supply of Vibranium

Black Panther hails from his African homeland in Wakanda, where it holds a great supply of vibranium. Fans of the "Avengers" and "Iron Man" movies are probably already aware that this is the metal that Tony Stark used to create his arc reactor.

Vibranium is said to be stronger than adamantium, the metal that makes up the villain Ultron's physique in "Avengers: Age of Ultron." In order for the A.I. to be defeated, Iron Man would need a far better suit made, one that's made of Black Panther's vibranium.

According to the site, this theory is even backed up when filming of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" set foot in South Africa.

Black Panther's Riches

Like multimillionaire Tony Stark, Black Panther is said to be an opulent character. His riches can rival that of Tony Stark's unlimited supply of wealth adds writer Peter Matthews. Black Panther is reportedly five times richer than Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man. To prove, the site added an infographic showing how wealthy Black Panther is compared to the other seven richest characters from any of the comics universe combined. These characters include DC's Batman and Lex Luthor, Dr. Doom, Green Arrow, Professor X and even Xavier's friend Magneto.

The site claims Black Panther's riches will eventually lead him to becoming the leader of the Avengers team.

Marvel's first black hero will reportedly make an appearance in "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Although this is not confirmed, Stan Lee has given a nod to its solo movie.

According to the Guardianlv, the 91-year-old confirmed a standalone "Black Panther" movie is in production for Marvel's phase three. However, specific details like the director and cast names have yet to be revealed. Although, Denzel Washington has expressed his intent to star as Black Panther, few claimed he may be too old to play as the young hero. Other rumoured possible candidates who reportedly have the skills to portray as Black Panther include Idris Elba and Djimon Hounsou.
